Who Can Apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Researchers from abroad of all nationalities and disciplines
- Postdoctoral researchers who completed a PhD or equivalent within the past 4 years
- Experienced researchers who completed a PhD or equivalent within the past 12 years

Value
- Postdoctoral Researcher fellowship: EUR 2,650 per month for a 6–24 month research stay
- Experienced Researcher fellowship: EUR 3,150 per month for a 6–18 month research stay
- Additional allowances may be available for accompanying family members, travel expenses, and German language instruction
Selection Criteria
Applicants are assessed on:
- Above-average qualifications
- A long-term research project of the applicant’s choice
- An academic host selected by the applicant at a research institution in Germany
