UNICEF offers an 18-month, office-based child protection consultancy for Chinese nationals in Beijing.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Chinese nationals and hold a master's degree in Social Work, Child Psychology, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.At least five years of professional experience in child protection, social work case management, or child welfare policy development.Strong writing skills in Chinese and English.Experience reviewing and aligning technical manuals, standards, and public policies.Experience with professional online communities or networks, knowledge management, policy analysis, programme monitoring, results-based management, indicator development, monitoring and evaluation, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and work in international and multicultural environments with cultural sensitivity.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Selection Criteria

Applicants are assessed on:

  • Proven ability to review and align technical manuals, standards, and public policies.
  • Demonstrated experience operating professional online communities or networks.
  • Strong knowledge management, policy analysis, practice curation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in programme monitoring, results-based management, indicator development, or monitoring and evaluation in relevant social sectors.
  • Demonstrated frontline child protection experience, including case management, direct casework, or implementation and management of child protection programmes, is desirable.
  • Alignment with UNICEF’s values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Sustainability.
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo reference and background checks, including verification of academic credentials and employment history.
