Overview

Competitive travel funding for Kansas State University graduate students attending conferences or related professional development activities.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in at least one graduate credit hour in a master's or doctoral degree program at Kansas State University at the time of application and at the time of the event.Students must be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.Students active in a K-State graduate program may qualify for a summer enrollment exception for events held between the spring final examination period and the start of fall classes.Eligible activities include presenting K-State graduate research or scholarly/creative work at a professional conference, attending a conference without presenting, and other professional development activities such as site visits or special training.

Benefits

Up to $750 for domestic travel within the United States.Up to $1,000 for international travel outside the United States.Funding is available for one event per fiscal year, from July 1 through June 30, for events beginning July 1, 2026 or later.

Application Process

Submit the GSC travel funding application at least 21 calendar days before the event start date. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for eligible events with start dates through January 31, 2027.Applicants should also investigate departmental, college, professional association, and other external travel funding sources. Who Can Apply

  • Applicants are encouraged to use departmental, college, professional association, and other available funding sources.
