Who Can Apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- UCLA Academic Senate members
- Applicants presenting results of original research or creative activity at a conference of a recognized scholarly society
- Applicants may apply once per fiscal year
Fields of Study
All academic fields and creative disciplines represented by recognized scholarly societies
Value
- Up to $900 for domestic travel, including travel to Canada and Mexico
- Up to $1,500 for international travel
Selection Criteria
Applicants are assessed on:
- The conference must be organized by a recognized scholarly society
- The applicant must present results of original research or creative activity
- Applications must be submitted at least two weeks before the meeting
- Applications must be received by May 31 for the applicable grant cycle
How to Apply
Submit an application through the UCLA Academic Senate Conference Travel Grant Funding application. Applicants should review the applicable conference travel grant guidelines before applying.
Application Deadline
Applications for conference travel occurring from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, must be received by May 31, 2027. Applications must also be submitted at least two weeks before the conference meeting.
